CCBHC Certified Coder
Responsibilities include: Reviewing all provider documentation to provide non-level coding, assure accuracy and compliance with all federal, state and local laws as well as contractual requirements that govern billing compliance. Ensure documentation supports service provided and submit claims where required; works with billing staff to develop provider education, revenue opportunities, and custom scrub rules to minimize denials; work coding related payor rejections, scrubber errors and coding related denials; works with clinical and administrative staff to research coding requirements for new or proposed revenue sources; other duties as assigned. . Qualifications: High School Diploma and Professional Coder certification required. Minimum of one year coding experience required. Mental Health coding experience strongly preferred. Must be able to work independently in an organized fashion. Must be detail oriented. Must possess good communication skills and be able to work with diverse agency staff and clientele. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must possess computer training and/or experience.
