Crisis Stabilization Unit Therapist
Responsibilities: Provide face-to-face emergency services to adults, adolescents and children. This includes prescreens for hospitalization, crisis stabilization planning and implementation in the walk-in clinic.
Answers calls and provides triage services. Provides consultation to local ED, nearby psychiatric hospitals, and other relevant professionals.
Completes all documentation in providing emergency services. This includes but is not limited to: CI assessment, diagnostic assessments, suicide risk assessments, pink slips, affidavits, client’s rights, releases, service coordination and linkage, and other required CI documents.
Attends supervision, required meetings, and provides other administrative functions as needed. Conforms to all relevant Agency standards/regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology. Must possess licensure (LSW, LISW, LPD, LPCC). Prefer two years post-licensure experience. Must be able to provide clinical services in the community and work cooperatively with the hospitals, probate court, and other agencies. Must meet system requirements for appointment as Health Officer, or at minimum for probationary Health Officer status. Must work well in crisis situations; have good working knowledge of the DSM-V; have excellent written communication skills, convey respect, warmth and hope; be highly organized; and sensitive to the cultural needs of each client and family
