“Early-First” FEP Services Therapist (Early Severe Mental Illness/ First Episode Psychosis)
Responsibilities: Performing diagnostic and assessment specific to First Episode Psychosis and Early Severe Mental Illness Programs. Provides specialized evidenced-based practices to individuals experiencing FEP/ESMI in the last 2 years of onset. Functions as a part of a Coordinated Specialized Care Team and provides referral and linkage to appropriate services in the community, within parameters of the funding sources.
Outpatient services to include: individual, family and group psychotherapy, and individual/family psychoeducation to individuals (ages 14-35) with first episode of psychosis and individuals (ages 14-50) with early severe mental illness. Psychotherapy services include enhancement of: psychological and social functioning; self-esteem; coping abilities; vocational, educational and social opportunities. Provides services in an integrated manner and appropriate level of intensity.
Qualifications: Licensure required (LSW/LISW/LPC/LPCC/MFT); Master’s Degree preferred in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field; Minimum two (2) years related experience in the mental health field preferred. Supervisor: FEP/ESMI Team Leader
