Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Medical Assistant (male)
Responsibilities: Prepare client for and collect observed urine drug screen (UDS). Coordinating with nurses and physicians, assisting in patient care including taking detailed phone messages, triaging the calls based on clinical urgency, calling patients and pharmacies, completing medication orders in OrderConnect per physician order and notifying patients of physician response to message, obtaining vital signs and performing ODT per physician request. Completing necessary clinical documentation for prescribers, i.e., Indigent medication program forms, interoffice referrals, transfers and closings as needed. Performing other related duties at the discretion of the SUD/IOP Team Lead and/or Psychiatric Services Coordinator.
Qualifications: High school graduate. Must possess Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). Experienced in or knowledge of the workings of a medical practice or environment. Mental health experience is a plus. Employee must be self-directed, flexible and highly motivated and be able to work with a team approach.
