Quality Assurance Specialist to perform internal analysis aimed at evaluation & adherence to external regulations as well as the agencies own policies and procedures. This position conducts audits with objectivity and accuracy, appropriately escalates areas of concern, works closely with management team to develop internal trainings, and is tasked with monitoring compliance across all departments.


Responsibilities: maintaining current knowledge of all state and federal regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and internal agency policies and procedures to support compliance for assigned programs. This position conducts monthly audits of each assigned program via desktop and/or onsite reviews and will report findings to the management team as well as assist in corrective action activities and follow-up. Knowledge and/or development of skills in behavioral health accreditation a must; previous experience with CARF, OMHAS, managed care, Medicaid, and Medicare a plus.


Qualifications: Working knowledge of electronic health records as well as basic office software/spreadsheets required. Daytime travel between locations in Fairfield County required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree; or relevant experience in the human services field is required. Familiarity with electronic health records, along with experience in a behavioral health field is strongly preferred.
