Psychiatric Nurse

We are currently seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse for our Psychiatry Department in Lancaster, Ohio

What will you do?

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Completing basic medical/nursing assessments and mental status assessments

• Verification of medication changes, hospitalizations, or changes in health history that may impact Mental Health Treatment

• Complete necessary charting required to maintain standards established by regulatory agencies and ensure documentation of medical data/reports.

• Prepare and administer medications as ordered when necessary; must be able to perform injections, check vital signs, administer injections as prescribed by a physician, perform blood draws and observed urine screens, or other duties as assigned by physician

• Communicate and work with case managers regarding client’s health needs

• Assist other departments within the agency with medical needs and coordination of care

What kind of qualifications do you need?

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed in the State of Ohio or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in the State of Ohio; preferably with experience in mental health. Experience with treatments for mental illness is also preferred.

Some travel will be required between agency work sites.
