For over 50 years, New Horizons Mental Health Services has worked to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and the community through our services.

We are currently seeking a school-based School Based Intervention Specialist in Fairfield County, Ohio.

What will you do?

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Provide school based prevention and intervention services.

  • Provide individual, group, or family mental health therapy and case management.

  • Work with parents, educators, and other school employees, and the community to provide assistance with Individual Education Plans, trainings and presentations, and referrals.

  • Provide emergency or crisis intervention services if needed.

What kind of qualifications do you need?

Do you have a desire to see students thrive within their educational environment, and to help equip schools and parents to address mental health issues with students? This position is for you!

We are looking for someone with at least a Bachelor’s degree in a mental health related field, along with clinical licensure, such as LSW/LISW/LPC/LPCC who is able to work in cooperation with educators in a school setting. Applicants for this position must be dependable, organized, able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of individuals including students, and be culturally sensitive to students and their families. Experience with nicotine cessation/vaping cessation and education is also preferred.

New Horizons requires all employees to be Covid-19 vaccinated. Candidates must be fully vaccinated (2 weeks following their last dose) by potential time of hire. Exceptions may be considered for medical/religious accommodations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
